It was a busy finale for the trade deadline, totaling 10 trades going down yesterday! The majority of them we will cover below, we removed the draft picks in each trade to simplify the fantasy aspect for each trade.

1. Nets 🤝 76ers

New York Nets Receive
➡️ Ben Simmons (PG)
➡️ Seth Curry (SG)
➡️ Andre Drummond (C)

Philadelphia 76ers Receive
➡️ James Harden (PG,SG)
➡️ Paul Millsap (PF)

Thoughts
The Ben Simmons drama is finally over. Morey knew what he was doing, waited for the right moment and capitalized on the Simmons situation to land Harden – not bad. Big wins are pretty much everyone involved, with the exception of MillsapSimmons might need some time to get situated in his new role, but with Kyrie in and out of the lineup he should assume a large role in the offense no problem. Seth Curry will see some increased value, and actually Andre Drummond is an interesting add in the short term. Claxton and Aldridge are both injured and have proven to be inconsistent, Nets may opt to go Drummond for the short term. He’s worth a flier in 12+ leagues.

Harden will continue to be Harden, but now has a lot more of a supporting cast than he did in Brooklyn. Hopefully he recovers from his “hamstring” injury soon and we can see for ourselves. We think Harden’s numbers stay about the same, slight increase in assists and decrease in rebounds. Unfortunately, guards like Maxey take a hit here but with the 76ers losing some depth he still will have enough value to hold. Also, Matisse Thybulle gets a little bump as well.

2. Celtics 🤝 Spurs

Boston Celtics Receive
➡️ Derrick White (PG)

San Antonio Spurs Receive
➡️ Josh Richardson (SF)
➡️ Romeo Langford (PG)

Thoughts
This one was strange to see! White has been playing very well in the new year, so it’s definitely surprising to see him shipped off. White now joins a crowded Celtics backcourt, so unfortunately his value will take a hit. Still not sure how much of a hit, but definitely not ideal for White owners. Richardson and Langford won’t be huge difference makers for the Spurs upon arrival. If anything, this opens up more opportunity for guys currently rostered like; Devin Vassell and Lonnie Walker IV.

3. Raptors 🤝 Spurs

Toronto Raptors Receive
➡️ Thaddeus Young (PF)
➡️ Drew Eubanks (PF,C)

San Antonio Spurs Receive
➡️ Goran Dragic (PG)

Thoughts
Another Spurs deal at the deadline! The biggest addition here is Thaddeus Young heading to Toronto. He’s probably worth rostering in 12+ team leagues, since he’ll actually be getting minutes. We haven’t seen Goran suit up a lot this year, so he’ll slide into some reserve role that will be left behind from White being traded.  Don’t think you move now on him, but definitely worth keeping an eye on.

4. Kings 🤝 Pistons 🤝 Bucks 🤝 Clippers

Sacramento Kings Receive
➡️ Donte DiVincenzo (SG)
➡️ Josh Jackson (SG,SF)
➡️ Trey Lyles (PF)

Detroit Pistons Receive
➡️ Marvin Bagley (PF,C)

Milwaukee Bucks Receive
➡️ Serge Ibaka (PF,C)

Los Angeles Clippers Receive
➡️ Semi Ojeleye (SG,SF)
➡️ Rodney Hood (SG)

Thoughts
Woah! A lot to digest here. Here are some names we think are worth looking out for with this trade; Marvin Bagley is a very interesting add in Detroit. He gets an increase in value, where guys like Isaiah Stewart and Kelly Olynyk take a hit. Olynyk takes the biggest hit here. Serge Ibaka is also worth looking into now on the Bucks. He gives them some needed front court depth, especially with Lopez still injured.

5. Suns 🤝 Pacers

Phoenix Suns Receive
➡️ Torrey Craig (SF)

Indiana Pacers Receive
➡️ Jalen Smith (SF)

Thoughts
Gotta love the simple ones. A nice player swap between the Suns and Pacers here, sending Torrey Craig back to the Suns in exchange for Jalen Smith and a pick. Craig will likely find himself in a similar role when he was in Phoenix, hopefully with some more minutes and Jalen Smith will definitely find more minutes on the rebuilding Pacers. Jalen Smith is the guy to eye in this deal.

6. Hornets 🤝 Wizards

Charlotte Hornets Receive
➡️ Montrezl Harrel (PF,C)

Washington Wizards Receive
➡️ Vernon Carey (C)
➡️ Ish Smith (PG)

Thoughts
Let’s just face the facts, Harrel is a nice upgrade over Plumlee/Washington and he gets out of the center disaster in Washington – nice win for Harrel owners. Ish Smith finds himself back in Washington without a starting PG (more on that below). We don’t think it’s going to be Ish, but the Wizards are in a clear free fall without Beal.. crazier things have happened! This opens up more opportunity for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Corey Kispert and Raul Neto.

7. Mavericks 🤝 Wizards

Dallas Mavericks Receive
➡️ Spencer Dinwiddie (PG)
➡️ Davis Bertans (PF)

Washington Wizards Receive
➡️ Kristaps Porzingis (PF,C)

Thoughts
The arrival of Dinwiddie in Dallas probably lowers Brunson’s value a bit, which is unfortunate because he was a nice wire gem this year. There is a possibility they flex Brunson to fill a role similar to Tim Hardaway Jr before his injury, so neither lose value. Guys like Reggie Bullock would probably lose some value in that scenario. Porzingis to Washington is the equivalent to the *shrug emoji*. Don’t know how much he plays for the tanking Wizards, if at all – and dealing with a knee injury right now definitely isn’t the best start to his time in a Wizards uniform. If he plays, he probably lowers Gafford’s value a bit. But hang on to Gafford in the meantime, there’s a change KP is shut down.

8. Boston 🤝 Rockets

Boston Celtics Receive
➡️ Daniel Theis (C)

Houston Rockets Receive
➡️ Dennis Schroder (PG)
➡️ Enes Freedom (C) *Waived
➡️ Bruno Fernando (C)

Thoughts
Daniel Theis
heads back to the Celtics in some reserve role, which will hurt Al Horford a bit. Dennis Schroder probably see’s the biggest lift here in Houston, clearly on a rebuilding team who will be giving all their young talent a lot of minutes. He is worth a pickup in 12+ leagues in our opinion.
