Here’s a short list of players we think are buy low (players we think are struggling and might be more affordable at a dip in performance) or sell high (players who we think are over performing and could net a return for more at a peak in performance) candidates. Happy negotiating!

Sell High Candidates

Harrison Barnes (SAC)

Look at any of his career numbers… done? He is exceeding all of them. It is two weeks in and eventually he will fall back down to earth. Where do you want to be when he becomes sub-standard again? Take advantage of this hot start, grab someone who is more sustainable and move on.

Evan Mobley (CLE)

Taking the league by storm, this rookie is not one to mess with. Odds are, you drafted this Mobley with one of your later picks. While his talent is big, he is bound to go through rookie growing pains. Similar to Miles Bridges, you can probably get round 3-5 round talent for Mobley right now. The one disclaimer is that if you are in a dynasty/keeper league, hold onto this kid for dear life. If it’s re-draft, get all you can for him, as he is bound to come down from this high sooner rather than later.

Chris Duarte (IND)

Talent is not the issue. Caris LeVert and TJ Warren are. Chris Duarte is the product of opportunity right now, but eventually the Pacers will get healthy and the opportunities for Duarte will dwindle. Someone I would target is Jrue Holiday for Duarte and a complimentary piece. Jrue is as low as he can get right now and Duarte may be quick payoff for someone who isn’t thinking long term. More on Jrue below!

Miles Bridges (CHA)

Alright, hear us out. He is absolutely killing it right now… KILLING IT. That being said, he might be hitting his peak and is due for regression. Odds are you drafted him between round 8-10 and right now, you can probably get round 3-4 talent for him. For example, if you are able to turn him for any of the below, we would endorse it 10 times out of 10. He could be the next best thing and we could be eating our words in a few months, but we’ll take our chances and try to get max value for him now while he is still hot for someone who will be more consistent throughout the remainder of the year. For now though, enjoy every minute of this budding star.

Buy Low Candidates

Michael Porter Jr. (DEN)

Michael Porter Jr. is a bona fide stud and he is finally fully healthy. In the first couple years of his career he has been battling injury, but when he was on the court, he was easily one of the best players on the court. He has started very slow to his standard this year so you should be able to get him at a discount right now. Don’t wait too long though, as this slump shouldn’t last much longer. His value only goes up whenever Jokic misses time.

Bradley Beal (WAS)

The only thing keeping him down right now is injury. With Westbrook gone, he is far and away the #1 option in WAS and the offense will run through him. The only thing that makes him a “buy low” is that he has been battling early injuries and that could be giving the manager that drafted him cold feet. If you could somehow land him at a discount because of it, take it and don’t look back.

Jrue Holiday (MIL)

Jrue Holiday is as reliable as they come when it comes to point guards who have strong all-around stats. Always near the top in steals, low turnovers and high percentages are all things we can never have enough of. Jrue is also battling early injury right now, once he is healthy and back in action, 15 Points/6 Assists/6 Rebounds/2 Steals should be standard. If you can snag him off a struggling roster who is trying to avoid injury risk, it’s worth it. When healthy he can produce top 30 overall numbers.

Donovan Mitchell (UTA)

Mitchell is an absolute unit. He knows how to score in so many ways. Right now he is averaging low 20s PPG with rough percentages. You could classify all that as early season rust. Eventually he will be posting 25+ PPG with 4+ 3-Pointers a game and solid percentages. If you have him rostered now, don’t worry and if you don’t have him, try to snag him because he is about to go to the moon, and you don’t want to miss it.
